California Assembly Bill 749 was signed into law on September 28, 2008 and requires all Residential Care Facilities for the Elderly (RCFE) to have an emergency plan that includes the ability to be self-reliant for at least 72 hour following any emergency or disaster. The plan must be completed by March 1, 2009 and it will be reviewed by Community Care Licensing during comprehensive visits.

Effective January 30, 2008, you must apply for a license from the Bureau of Licensure and Certification. If you were on our mailing list, we have mailed you a packet containing these items, which you may also download here.
You must be in statutory and regulatory compliance before we can issue you a license. Please be sure that you read and understand the Criminal History Background Check requirements that apply to your agency.
